BREAKING NEWS: EMERGENCY INJUNCTION FILED TO PROTECT CONFEDERATE MONUMENT IN McDONOUGH
(McDonough, Ga – 10 July 2020) An emergency injunction has been filed this week dated 8 July 2020 by Ray McBerry, founder of the Georgia Minutemen, to prevent the removal of the Confederate Monument from the Henry County Courthouse Square in McDonough, Georgia. Speaking to a gathering of Henry County residents who oppose the decision by the current Henry County Board of Commissioners earlier this week to remove the Monument, McBerry had this to say, "The majority of Georgians have had enough of the attempt to destroy every vestige of our culture and heritage. The line is drawn in the sand, and enough is enough. The current trend across America to desecrate monuments or remove them from places of honour ends here in Georgia. We will not allow it to continue here, whatever the rest of America chooses. In consideration of our heritage, the Georgia General Assembly passed SB 77 which was signed into law last year on Confederate Memorial Day, April 26, 2019 by Governor Brian Kemp. It is perhaps the strongest monument protection law in America, and we intend to put it to use. Those who would remove or deface our monuments had better take notice… whether you are an elected official or merely some idiot out rioting and looting, you will face both civil and criminal prosecution. And if that isn’t enough of a deterrent, hundreds of patriotic Georgians stand ready to defend our monuments at a moment’s call. What is at stake is the inheritance of our children; and what is going on is nothing less than cultural genocide. We will not stand idly by, and we will no longer be the Silent Majority. We are fully awake to what is going on around us; and we dare to say, ‘Hell, no… not with my heritage.’"
McBerry, who is the owner of the only television station in Henry County, had input into the creation of SB 77 which was signed into law, specifically making sure that the right of standing to sue over such incidents as government agencies trying to remove monuments would be extended to any citizen or organization, not just government agencies. This means that any Georgian has standing to file suit to stop such blatant disregard for Georgia’s Monument Protection Law.
Speaking of the specifics of the case, Mr. McBerry said that the case against the Henry County Board of Commissioners is an airtight case, despite the commissioners’ argument that there are "loopholes" in the law. He went on to add that this stands to be a precedent-setting, groundbreaking case in the preservation of monuments from politically-correct government officials.
The Henry County Superior Court is expected to rule on the emergency motion for an injunction immediately. Widely held rumours have also been confirmed that at least two other organizations have already or intend to file temporary restraining orders to stop the removal of the same Monument in Henry County.
Ray McBerry is a Christian, father, businessman, television host, and former Republican candidate for governor of Georgia. In 2010, he organized and hosted the first-ever national Tenth Amendment Summit and has been a frequent guest on FOX News, CNN, HLN, MSNBC, and hundreds of other media outlets as one of America’s foremost spokesmen on issues related to States’ Rights, Southern Heritage, and the Constitution. He has served as the state president and on the national board of directors for multiple non-profit organizations and is also the founder of the Georgia Minutemen, organized on April 19, 2020 as a voice for patriotic Georgians who have had enough of the cultural war being waged against them and their heritage.
The accomplishments, failures, and the tragedies of war should never be forgotten! These monuments, memorials, and statues serve us all as reminders of where we have been, where we are, and how far we have to go, one nation undivided where all are created equal! God bless this country and it’s great diversity!
Thank goodness!! It’s the history of the South. And we learn from history. A few people should not be allowed to decide this for the entire county. Glad it’s being stopped.
I do hope we can prevent the statue from being removed. Leave history alone let it stand.
Yes AMEN we have had enough of BLM and the NAACP’ trying to erase our southern heritage keep this up we are heading for a race war
And I don’t believe in taking prisoners
Thank you Mr. McBerry for doing the right thing and standing up to the people that want to destroy history.
We , our ancestors fought for FREEDOM, WE , they got it . Now quit thinking you are some kind of a SLAVE!!! LIVE AND LET LIVE!!! MAY OUR GOD BLESS US ALL.
Thank you Sir! Behind you and our heritage. Stand our ground.
I’ve already decided to vote against our Commersonin the next time they run for reelection I’m real disaponted in the chairman Miss. Wood when she first called e to vote for her when she first run I would vote for as long as she done right and this is not right 5 people should decide for the whole county.
I hope you send this to Brian Kemp’s office. He has sat on his BUTT and did nothing about the City of Decatur or Rockdale County removing those monuments. Also add in the blm thugs walking through Stone mountain, with weapons and threatening people. We used to support Kemp but NO DAMB MORE!! He is kissing the thugs ass and ignoring those that donated to him and voted for him. He will be a 1 term governor. Also, many that were on the fence between Doug Collins & kelly loeffler are now voteing against Kemp’s appointee, kelly. The sentiment is if he doesn’t follow his own laws and support his voter base, why trust him and give him what he wants! August 15 th at stone mountain is a rally, I bet we won’t be given cart blanch as blm was! BUT WE ARE READY TO FIGHT BACK, tired of this double standard.
We need to get Dee Clemmons taken out of office and bring back our Nash Farm Battlefield we need to get a petition out
Thank you! I believe it’s time to gather and stand for what’s right!
I have never seen so many people be against reading books.
Thank you….I also was born and raised here…57 years now and I will defend that monument honoring my kin who died for what they believed in…right or wrong…‼️‼️🇺🇸🇺🇸

The confederacy relied almost exclusively on factory farms. These were known as plantations. They were owned by wealthy magnates. Who staffed these large plantations?
